-butene react with pentafluoropyridine in the presence of caesium fluoride to give perfluorocycloalkylpyridines. Di-and tri-substituted pyridines are obtained only from perfluorocyclohexene, and perfluorocycloalkyl derivatives are isolated only from perfluorocyclohexene on reaction of these cyclic olefins with tetrafluoropyridazine.
