  possible stereoisomers was obtained in the asymmetric cascade cyclopropanation of alkylidene oxindoles with ethyl 2‐chloroacetoacetate. Improved catalyst design ensured that spirocyclopropyl oxindoles featuring two quaternary centers were synthesized in high yield and high enantio‐ and diastereoselectivity (see scheme).
