This article describes new examples of intramolecular Kulinkovich–de Meijere reactions applied to carboxylic amides bearing an olefin moiety and an aromatic ring at a suitable position. Upon heating, the aminocyclopropanes thus obtained undergo intramolecular aromatic electrophilic substitution to afford polycyclic systems.
