We report the C-H alkylation of biarylphosphines at the ortho' position(s) with alkenes by using rhodium(I) catalysis, which provides straightforward access to a large library of multifunctionalized phosphines. Some of these modified ligands outperformed commercially available phosphines in the Pd-catalyzed carboxylation of aryl bromides with carbon dioxide in the presence of a photoredox catalyst
A double-ligands enabledrutheniumcatalyzed C(sp2)−H arylation of dialkylphosphines is described, which provides a straight access to aryl-substituted dialkylphosphineligands. The combination of 1,3-diketone and amino acid ligands is essential for this transformation. Phosphines turned to be powerful directing groups for the electrophilic C−H borylation of arenes. The reaction involves P-stabilized boreniums as key intermediates. It provides a direct, efficient, and general way of preparing phosphine–boranes.

The present invention relates to pyridyl or pyrazinyl compounds carrying a methyl- bound N-amide moiety derived from an α-amino acid of formula I where the variables are as defined in the claims and the description. The invention further relates to a pharmaceutical composition containing such compounds, to their use as modulators, especially agonists or partial agonists, of the 5-HT2C receptor, and to their use for preparing a medicament for the prevention or treatment of conditions and disorders which respond to the modulation of the 5-HT2C receptor.
