We report a bioluminescence resonance energy transfer (BRET) system between Cypridina luciferase (Cluc) and QDs. After coupling of the biotinylated Cluc with streptavidin-QDs, a BRET emission of QDs through the resonance energy transfer from the oxidation of Vargula (Cypridina) luciferin was observed.
