  Regioselective anodic α-monofluorination of selenides bearing electron-withdrawing groups such as cyano, ester, and amide groups was successfully performed. Highly stereoselective synthesis of α-fluoro α,β-unsaturated esters was achieved by using an α-fluoro α-selenoester prepared.
