    摘要:
    The published route to a series of 6'-arylamino substituted photochromic spirooxazines has been investigated with improvements made to perform the synthesis in satisfactory yield. The route has been exemplified with several novel derivatives prepared (including hydroxyl functionalised). Additionally, a one-pot procedure for the conversion of suitably functionalized 1,2-naphthoquinones into the photochromic compounds is reported.

    New symmetrical bisspiropyrans of the indoline series, which have photochromic properties and are characterized by substantially higher absorption capacity of cyclic isomers in comparison to the monospiropyrans, were obtained on the basis of 4,6-dihydroxy-5-methylisophthalaldehyde.

    Photochromic spiro[indoline-benzopyrans] containing 4,5-diphenyloxazolyl group at position 8 of the benzopyran fragment have been obtained. New diphenyloxazolyl-substituted spiropyrans manifest considerably higher thermal stability of the merocyanine isomers than their naphthopyran analogs.

    Novel photochromic 5′-(1,3-benzothiazol-2-yl)-substituted spiro[indoline-2,3′-naphthopyrans] possessing luminescence properties in both the cyclic and merocyanine forms were synthesized. Unlike the 8′-(1,3-benzothiazol-2-yl)-substituted benzopyran analogs, the synthesized compounds are characterized by the lower relative stability of the merocyanine isomers.

    A simple and effective method is proposed for the synthesis of 4,5-diphenyloxazolyl-substituted o-hydroxynaphthaldehydes. Photochromic spirobenzochromeneindolines containing a 4,5-diphenyl-oxazole group at position 5 of the benzochromene fragment were obtained. In the cyclic form the new (diphenyloxazolyl)-substituted spiropyrans exhibit luminescent properties.
