  N,N-Diaryl-N',N'- 1,4-phenylenedi(oxyacetyl)-dithioureas (3a-1) are synthesized under solid-liquid phase transfer catalysis. Meanwhile, the corresponding diureas of 3a-1, N,N-Diaryl-N',N'-1,4-plienylenedi(oxyacetyl)-diureas (4a-1), are further synthesized by the reaction of 3a-1 with potassium iodate in high yield.
