  carazolol and some related model compounds with triethyl ortho formate give rise to new derivatives from the trishetaryl methan series. In some cases also further functionalised heterocycles were isolated. The structural aspects of the new trishetarylmethanes were discussed as C3‐symmetric molecular propellers, respectively. The importance of the described reaction as colour reaction was mentioned.
