and their use as organic semiconductor material in organic electronic devices, especially in organic photovoltaics (solar cells) and photodiodes, or in a device containing a diode and/or an organic field effect transistor. The polymers according to the present invention show high absorption in the wavelength range above 1000 nm. A particularity of the polymers is their relatively high lying LUMO associated with a very low band gap, which allows them to provide high short-circuit current (Jsc) when used as photoactive material in combination with commercial C60 / C70 fullerene derivatives in solar cells or photodiodes.
