Photochemical chlorination of pentafluoropyridine yields 2,3,4,5-tetrachloro-2,3,4,5,6-pentafluorotetrahydropyridine, hydrolysis of which affords 2,3,4-trichloro-2,3,4-trifluoropentanedioic acid. Bistrifluoromethyl nitroxide reacts with pentafluoropyridine to yield perfluoro-2,3,4,5-tetrakis(dimethylamino-oxy)tetrahydropyridine, and with perfluorocyclohexene to give perfluoro-[1,2-bis(dimethylamino-oxy)cyclohexane]
