    Syntheses and characterization of inorganic–organic hybrids with 4-(isonicotinamido)phthalate and some divalent metal centers

    Four new inorganic-organic hybrid frameworks [Mn(L)(H2O)(2)](n) (1), {[Co(L)(H2O)(3)]center dot 2H(2)O-CH3OH}(n) (2), {[Zn(L)(H2O)]center dot H2O) (3) and [Cd(HL)(2)](n) (4) [H2L = 4-(isonicotinamido)phthalic acid] have been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Complex 1 has three-dimensional (3D) structure and topology related to SrAl2 (sra) with Schlafli symbol of (4(.)(2)6(3).8). And 2 displays (3,3)-connected two-dimensional (2D) network with (4.8(2)) topology, while 3 exhibits a uninodal (3,3)-connected (6,3) 2D network, which is further linked by N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonding interactions to give 3D structure with hms topology and Schlafli symbol of (6(3))(6(9).8). Complex 4 with partial deprotonated HL- ligands also has a 2D network structure. In addition, the magnetic property of 1, nonlinear optical property of 3 and photoluminescence of 3 and 4 were investigated. (C) 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

    Self-assemblies formed by isonicotinic acid analogues axially coordinating with zinc porphyrin via pyridyl unit: synthesis and application in dye sensitized solar cells
    摘要:
    A novel zinc porphyrin ZnP bearing a 1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diamine unit has been designed and synthesized in good yields to construct axial-coordinated assemblies (denoted as ZnP-Ai, i = 1, 2, 3 and 4) with different isonicotinic acid analogues (assigned as Al, A2, A3 and A4) through zinc-to-ligand axial coordination approach. Then these assemblies were grafted onto TiO2 electrode surface to build dye sensitized solar cells. The performance of these cells also was examined. Photoelectrochemical measurements illustrate that all the assembly based cells have certain capabilities to export photocurrent. Especially, the ZnP-A2 assembly with a cyanoacrylic acid group based solar cell has the highest conversion efficiency of 0.81% with J(SC) of 3.0 mA/cm(2), a V-OC of 0.38 V, and a FF of 0.71 among these assembly based solar cells. Additionally, the UV-vis absorption, fluorescence spectra, density functional theory (OFT) calculations, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS) were performed to determine the photoelectric behavior as well as morphological structure on the TiO2 surface modified by these assemblies.     In the title compound, [Ni(C14H8N2O5)(H2O)2]n, the NiIIcation is six-coordinate with a slightly distorted octahedral coordination geometry and the 4-(isonicotinamido)phthalate ligand links the NiIIcentres into a three-dimensional structure withsratopology. The structure is also stabilized by N—H...O hydrogen bonding between the uncoordinated amide groups of the ligand and extensive O—H...O hydrogen bonding between the two coordinated water molecules. The magnetic and thermal stability properties of the title compound are also discussed.
