Abstract The preparation of a series of novel chiral N-(2-hydroxylalkyl)-acrylamides through a lipase-catalyzed resolution of racemic alkanolamines is described. The absolute stereochemistry and enantiomeric excess of the products were determined by a modified Mosher's method.
