  NN-Dimethylsulphamate esters react with methyl fluorosulphate to give trimethylammoniosulphate esters; the phenyl ester (2) is readily characterized, but alkyl esters immediately give fluorosulphate esters or elimination products, showing that trimethylammonio-sulphate is a very powerful leaving group.
