The dearomatisation of aryldialkylphosphane–boranes and aryldialkylphosphane oxides under Birch reduction conditions, followed by treatment with reactive alkyl halides, provides the corresponding α-functionalised (cyclohexa-1,4-dien-3-yl)phosphane derivatives. This reaction offers a method of choice for the synthesis of bulky (cyclohexadienyl)phosphanes.

phosphonous acid‐borane monoester monoamide. This compound was used for the synthesis of various enantiomerically enriched phosphinous acid‐borane amides and secondary or tertiary phosphine‐boranes. The latter were obtained through a sequential reductive‐cleavage/alkylation process.
Di-µ-Hydroxy-bis(N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylenediamine)copper(II) Chloride {[Cu(OH)˙TMEDA]2Cl2} Catalyzed Tandem Phosphorous-Carbon Bond Formation-Oxyfunctionalization: Efficient Synthesis of Phenacyl Tertiary [nl]Phosphine-Boranes
A novel [Cu(OH)ËTMEDA]2Cl2 catalyzed tandem reaction has been developed for the synthesis of a series of sterically and electronically divergent phenacyl tertiary phosphine-boranes.
The synthesis of new functionalized phosphines is carried out through the easy and atom economic hydrophosphination reaction of functionalized alkenes such as vinyl ethers and vinyl thioethers. The reactions occur under mild conditions without catalyst using phosphine-boranes as hydrophosphinating agents.
ω-Haloalkylphosphine derivatives undergo the intramolecular nucleophilicsubstitution reaction upon treatment with a strong base, yielding either cycloalkylphosphine derivatives or heterocyclic phosphine derivatives. The selectivity of the cyclization of (ω-haloalkyl)alkylarylphosphine derivatives depends strongly on the distance between the electrophilic and nucleophilic carbon atoms and the structure of the phosphorus
