Understanding the binding properties of phosphorylated glycoluril-derived molecular tweezers and selective nanomolar binding of natural polyamines in aqueous solution

A new reducing agent prepared by the treatment of stannous chloride with diisobutylaluminum hydride was shown to be effective for debrominations of α-bromoketones to ketones and of vic-dibromoalkanes to the corresponding alkenes under mild conditions.

A simple, efficient, and non-metal-catalyzed synthetic method for allyl-epoxides and diallyl-epoxides by allylation of α-haloketones and esters with allylmagnesium bromide in mild conditions is reported in this article. It inherited some advantages of the organomagnesium reagents such as availability, operational simplicity and low toxicity.
