Biological evaluation of bisbenzaldehydes against four Mycobacterium species
摘要:
A series of bisbenzaldehydes and structurally related analogs, conveniently synthesized via microwave-assisted reactions, were evaluated in vitro against drug susceptible and multi-drug resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis, against virulent Mycobacterium bovis, against Mycobacterium ulcerans and against two Mycobacterium avium subspecies. Among the 33 substances that were tested, compound 12, i.e. 4,4'-[1,12-dodecanediyl(oxy)]bisbenzaldehyde, emerged as the most promising hit. Its activity was further confirmed in an intracellular growth inhibition assay of M. tb in murine J774 A.1 macrophages. None of the compounds showed significant cytotoxicity on human C3A hepatocytes in a neutral red dye uptake assay and no genotoxicity or mutagenicity was observed as demonstrated by a VITOTOX (TM) test and confirmed with a comet assay. Organosilicon quaternary ammonium compounds, their formulations, including powdered and solid formulations, and methods of use to treat infections in humans and animals.
FGF receptor agonist compounds corresponding to the general formula: M1-L-M2 are disclosed in which M1 and M2, which may be identical or different, each represent, independently of one another, a monomer unit M, and L represents a linker group, wherein the monomer unit is of the general formula I.
A series of 2D and 3D coordination polymers containing multicore Mn-carboxyl chain and flexible polycarboxylate ligands: synthesis, structure, and magnetic properties
non-interpenetrating CPs, [Mn2(oba)2(CH3OH)(H2O)] (1), [Mn6(oba)6(bib)(DMF)2(H2O)4] · (DMF)2(CH3OH) (2), [Mn4(mba)4(bib)(CH3OH)] (3), [Mn7(pba)7 (bib)(H2O)4] · (H2O)3(DMA)(CH3OH)0.5 (4), and [Mn7(pba)7(H2O)6](DMA)3 (5). The X-ray crystal structural analyses revealed that 1, 4, and 5 are 2-D layers, whereas 2 and 3 are 3-D frameworks with 1-D Mn-carboxylate chains. In 1, 2, 4, and 5, the 1-D Mn-carboxylate

Magnetic anisotropy can be included in metal–organic coordination polymers by altering the position of the coordinating groups on the skeleton of the ligand.
