Rhodium and Iridium Complexes of N-Heterocyclic Carbenes via Transmetalation: Structure and Dynamics
摘要:
Rhodium and iridium complexes of N-heterocyclic carbenes (3a-c and 4a-c) were obtained by transmetalation from the corresponding Ag(I) complexes. The structure of 3b was verified by X-ray diffraction. The compounds display restricted rotation about the metal-carbene bond, the rate of which can be controlled by altering the steric bulk of the auxiliary ligands. Infrared spectroscopy provides an estimate of the electron-donor power of the carbene ligands from v(CO) of the carbonyl derivatives.

C-S cross-coupling of aryl halides with alkyl thiols catalyzed by in-situ generated Ni (II) N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complexes is investigated. Good to excellent yields can be obtained for a variety of aryl halides when using 5 mol% of the Ni (II)-NHC catalyst and 1.5 eq. of KOtBu. Both the electronic and steric effects of the NHC ligands on the catalytic performance of Ni (II)-NHC, as well as the

Five novel Ru(ii)–N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHC) were synthesized and biologically evaluated, one of which showed superior activity against PC-3 cell lines and 6 fold more activity than cisplatin.
Fournovel N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) silvercomplexes, I–IV, have been synthesized and characterized. The single X-ray crystal diffraction data indicate a dinuclear solid-state structure for I and III and a mononuclear structure for II and IV. These complexes have been successfully used as efficient catalysts for the C–H activating carboxylation of terminal alkynes with CO2. A wide range of substrates
