  [EN] The present invention relates to a new process for preparing perindopril erbumine (I), useful in the treatment of hypertension. The invention relates to obtaining 1-[(2S)-2-[[(1S)-1(ethoxycarbonyl)butyl]amino]-1-propionyl] (2S,3aS,7aS)-octahydro-1H-indole-2-carboxylic acid, tert-butylamine salt that comprises reacting an active ester of N-[2(S)-(ethoxycarbonyl)butyl]-L-alanine with an organic salt of perhydroindole-2-carboxylic acid, followed by the addition of t-butylamine and an acid to the reaction medium, in any order, or else a salt formed from an acid and tert-butylamine, and separating the product by conventional means.
  [FR] L'invention concerne un nouvel procédé de préparation de périndopril erbumine (I), utilisé pour traiter l'hypertension. Ledit procédé consiste à obtenir un acide1-[(2S)-2-[[(1S)-1(ethoxycarbonyl)butyl]amino]-1-propionyl] (2S,3aS,7aS)-octahydro-1H-indole-2-carboxylique, un sel de tert-butylamine composé par réaction d'un ester actif de N-[2(S)-(ethoxycarbonyl)butyl]-L-alanine avec un sel organique d'acide perhydroindole-2-carboxylique suivie de l'adjonction dans un ordre quelconque de t-butylamine et d'un acide au milieu de réaction ou autrement d'un sel formé à partir d'un acide et de tert-butylamine; et à séparer le produit par des moyens classiques.
