[GRAPHICS]RhCl(PPh3)(3) catalyzes a reaction of thiols with polychloroalkanes in the presence of triethylamine. This reaction serves as a convenient new method to produce formaldehyde dithioacetals, ethylenedithioethers, thioformates, and dithlocarbonic esters under mild conditions.
