With a bidentate Schiff base ligand 2-hydroxy-5-methoxybenzaldehyde oxime (HL) and copper acetate, a polynuclear copper(II) complex was prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, and X-ray structure determination. The complex crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbca with unit cell dimensions a = 7.5094(7) Å, b = 6.5131(7) Å, c = 33.081(3) Å, V = 1618.0(3) Å3, Z = 4
