    A Pd(II)-catalyzed direct aerobic dehydrogenation of γ,δ-olefinic acids and amides has been demonstrated. The present protocol dehydrogenates the least acidic amides and acids, thus replacing the traditional enolate strategy for dehydrogenation. A broad spectrum of conjugated dienamides and dienoic acids were produced in good to excellent yields. A possible reaction mechanism was proposed and supported

    The mitotic kinases regulating the dynamics of centrosomes and the functions of the mitotic spindle are potential targets for the antitumour therapy. In the present invention some molecules with inhibitory activity on NEK6 have been identified. The present invention relates to such molecules and to the compositions including them for use as inhibitors of NEK6 in a method of treatment of tumours both in monotherapy and in combinations with other drugs.

    Seven amides and three amine salts of sorbic acid were prepared and screened for their antifungal activity against four pathogenic fungi. Of the 10 compounds tested, N-(2-methylpiperidyl)-sorbamide, n-hexylsorbamide, cyclohexylamine sorbate, phenylethylamine sorbate, and n-hexylamine sorbate exhibited antifungal activity.
