Abstract A study is reported of the controlled decomposition of various metal carbonates, carboxylates, oxalates, acetates, formates and hydroxides and their common hydrates, carried out in a thermogravimetric analyzer, a differential scanning calorimeter, and a differential thermal analyzer.
