  A simple procedure for a high yield preparation of CF2(SF3)2 (1) from CS2 and elemental fluorine is described. In the presence of CsF 1 is further oxidised by F2 and C1F to give F2C(SF5)2 (4) and (trans - C1SF4)2CF2 (5), respectively.
