between CF3I and AuCF3(PEt3) eventually (12 d) forms Au(CF3)3(PEt3) and AuI(PEt3), but, at ambient temperature, the exposure of AuCF3(PEt3) to C2F5I yields the pentafluoroethyl gold(I) complex, AuC2F5(PEt3), along with CF3I and AuI(CF3)2(PEt3).
