Synthetically valuable 3-haloindol-2-amines were prepared from readily available 3-diazoindolin-2-imines and a variety of alkyl halides through the palladium-catalyzed reaction. The broad substrate scope of both diazo compounds and alkyl halides, mild reaction conditions, and high efficiency are the main characters of this method.
