    The title compounds, C12H13N3O2S and C13H11N3O3S.-CH4O, were prepared by treating the precursor urea, [1-(2-benzo [b]thienyl)ethyl] urea, with N-chlorocarbonyl isocyanate, The products were isolated by preparative thin-layer chromatography. Analytical samples were obtained by crystallization from methanol and the crystal structures of both compounds were determined.
