In this study, we developed a palladium-catalyzed atom economic asymmetric Wagner-Meerwein shift of allenylcyclobutanol substrates. It is an excellent method for creating functionalized cyclopentanones with an alpha-chiral O-tertiary center by ring expansion of allenylcyclobutanols.
