enantioselectivity in high yields. The reaction is assumed to proceed through 1,4-Rh shift from aryloxymethyl-Rh intermediate to 2-methoxyaryl-Rh. The high availability of phenol derivatives makes this asymmetric conjugate arylation synthetically useful.
