Pyridine, γ-picoline, pyridine, N-oxide, and γ-picoline N-oxide complexes of manganese(II), cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II), and zinc(II) halogenoacetates have been prepared and characterised by vibrational and electronic spectroscopy and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The complexes prepared were of the type M(amine)4-(halogenoacetate)2, M(amine)2(halogenoacetate)2, M(amine oxide)2(halogenoacetate)2
