reacted under mildconditions to give 3,5-bis(n-perfluorooctyl)benzyltriethylammonium bromide (F-TEBA), an analogue of the versatile phase-transfer catalyst, benzyltriethylammonium chloride (TEBA), containing two fluorous ponytails.
