A new reagent -- 4-nitro-1-H-pyrazole-1-[N, N′-bis(tert-butoxycarbonyl)]car☐amidine -- has been developed to effect the rapid and efficient synthesis of bis(carbamate)-protected guanidines from primary and secondary amines.
