A crystalline π-complex [Cu3Br3(CH 2=CH-CH2-(S)4-CH2-CH=CH 2)] has been obtained by an alternating-current electrochemical synthesis starting from CuBr2 and diallyltetrasulfide (DATS). Its structure is orthorhombic, space group Pbca, a = 9.9911(6), b = 23.2792(16), c = 12.8005(9) A, V = 2977.2(3) A3 (at 293 K), Z = 8; R 1 = 0.0377, wR2 = 0.0760.
