    The purpose of the present invention is to provide a polymer having a low halogen atom content remaining in the polymer, a simple production method thereof, an active energy ray-curable composition that can be rapidly cured by an irradiation of a small amount of light, and a cured product thereof. These purpose can be achieved by an active energy ray-curable composition, including a polyisobutylene polymer (A) represented by the following general formula (1) (wherein R 1 represents a monovalent or polyvalent aromatic hydrocarbon group, or a monovalent or a polyvalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group; A represents a polyisobutylene polymer; R 2 represents a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 2-6 carbon atoms, which contains no hetero atoms; R 3 and R 4 each represent hydrogen, a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1-20 carbon atoms, or an alkoxy group having 1-20 carbon atoms; R 5 represents hydrogen or a methyl group; and n denotes a natural number), and an active energy ray polymerization initiator (B).

    A multi-component copolymer rubber consisting essentially of (A) 20 to 69.5% by weight of a cyanosubstituted alkyl (meth)acrylate, (B) 30 to 79.5% by weight of an alkyl acrylate, (C) 0.5 to 10% by weight of a crosslinkable monomer and (D) 0 to 10% by weight of other ethylenically unsaturated monomer copolymerizable with (A), (B) and (C), excels in heat resistance, ozone resistance, sour gasoline resistance and sour gasohol resistance. These properties of said multi-component copolymer rubber can further be improved by incorporating into the copolymer rubber a crosslinking agent, a metal salt, a vinylidene fluoride polymer, a vinyl chloride resin or other multi-component copolymer rubber.

    A vulcanizable rubber composition comprises (1) 100 parts by weight of a polymer composition comprising (I) a vinylidene fluoride resin, (II) at least one acrylic rubber, a,p-unsaturated nitrile-conjugated diene copolymer rubber or hydride of an a,p-unsaturated nitrile-conjugated diene copolymer rubber, (III) another blendable polymer, wherein the weight ratio of (I)/[(II) + (III)] is from 5/95 to 60/ 40 and the weight ratio of (II)/(III) is from 100/0 to 50/50, and (2) from 0 to 40 by weight of a plasticizer. Said rubber composition excels not only in heat resistance, gasoline resistance and sour gasoline resistance but also in gasohol resistance and sour gasohol resistance and further has good tensile strength, elongation and balance between gasoline resistance and low-temperature resistance. Therefore, it can be used in the fluid-contacting surface of a diaphragm or as an inner tube of a fuel hose.

    A rubber laminate wherein a rubber layer (1) consisting of the following rubber compound (a) and a rubber layer (2) consisting of the following rubber compound (b) have been strongly bonded to each other by vulcanization: (a) a rubber compound consisting essentially of 100 parts by weight of an acrylic blend rubber, 20-30 parts by weight of a plasticizer comprising at least a phosphate type plasticizer and, as a vulcanizing agent, a diamine carbamate compound and 1-orthotolylbiguanide, the acrylic blend rubber consisting of (I) an acrylic rubber composed of (A) 7.0-69.9% by weight of an alkyl acrylate, (B) 30.0-70.0% by weight of an alkoxy-substituted alkyl acrylate, (C) 0.1-3.0% by weight of an epoxy group-containing ethylenically unsaturated compound, and (D) 0-20.0% by weight of other ethylenically unsaturated compound copolymerizable with the (A), (B) and (C) componentsand (II) a vinylidene fluoride resin, the weight ratio of the acrylic rubber (I)/the vinylidene fluoride resin (II) in the acrylic blend rubber being 85/15 to 75/25, (b) a rubber compound consisting essentially of 100 parts by weight of an acrylic rubber (III) and 20-40 parts by weight of a plasticizer [the proportion of the plasticizer is equal to or larger than the proportion of the plasticizer in the rubber compound (a)], the acrylic rubber (III) being composed of (E) 1.0-49.9% by weight of an alkyl acrylate, (F) 50.0080.0% by weight of an alkoxy-substituted alkyl acrylate, (G) 0.1-3.0% by weight of an epoxy group-containing ethylenically unsaturated compound, and (H) 0-20.0% by weight of other ethylenically unsaturated compound copolymerizable with the (E), (F) and (G) components[the proportion of the (F) component is equal to or larger than the proportion of the (B) component in the acrylic rubber (I)]. The above laminate is superior in flexibility and has a high interlaminar strength. The laminate is also superior in heat resistance, sour gasoline resistance and resistance to alcohol-containing gasoline and accordingly is highly suited for use as a material for fuel hoses of automobiles.

    Foamed articles of polyvinyl chloride resins are prepared by mixing an organic foaming agent having a temperature of foaming by decomposition of 100°C or above and a plasticizer with a polyvinyl chloride resin containing epoxy group which is formed into particles having an average diameter in the range from 0.05 to 5 µm and has a concentration of the epoxy group at the surface of the particle of 1×10⁻² weight % or more and a concentration of the total epoxy group in the particles of the said resin of 10 weight % or less at a temperature where the organic foaming agent does not decompose and coating or molding the mixed compound with foaming by heating. Foamed articles of polyvinyl chloride resins having excellent physical properties and high expansion ratios can be prepared without utilizing a crosslinking agent at the ambient pressure.
