We found novel aprotic low-molecular-mass organic gelators (LMOGs) with simple molecular structure based on a gemini 4-[2-(perfluorobutyl)ethylthio]phenoxy unit. These aprotic LMOGs formed a physical gel with a thermally reversible sol–gel phase transition in a wide variety of alcoholic and polar solvents such as 1-octanol and propylene carbonate at concentrations below 1 wt %.
