Specifically, the donor/acceptor carbene 10a derived from ArC(═N2)COOMe and [Cp*RhCl2]2 undergoes spontaneous 1,2-migratory insertion of the emerging carbene unit into the Rh-Cl bond with formation of the C-metalated rhodium enolate 11. In contrast, the analogous complexes 10b,c derived from [Cp*RhX2]2 (X = Br, I) as well as the iridium species 13 and 14 derived from [Cp*IrCl2]2 are sufficiently stable

this transformation proceeds via a novel rebound hydrolysis mechanism. Furthermore, a three-component reaction was explored to synthesize highly functionalized β-lactams in good yields and diastereoselectivities.

We report the first direct catalytic enantioselective allylation of acyclic α-ketiminoesters to afford α-allyl-α-aryl and α-allyl-α-trifluoromethyl amino esters in excellent isolated yield (91–99%) and with high optical purity (90–99+% ee). The allylation proceeds on a gram scale with 5–10 mol % of indium(I) iodide and commercially available BOX-type ligands. The allylated products are easily converted
umpolung strategy for the synthesis of homoallylamines from unactivated imines and allyl bromides is described. This strategy exploited N,N-diisopropylethylamine (DIPEA) as an auxiliary agent to indirectly realize the cross-coupling of imines and allyl bromides. Various stericallyhindered homoallylamines were synthesized by combining photocatalysis with halogen atom transfer (XAT). Notable characteristics
Green and convenientmethod of aldimines and ketoimines synthesis has been developed. The possibility of further one-pot modification of imines is shown. The reactions are catalyst free, and no additional purification is needed for the most products.
