  Bis(hemi-indigo) derivatives are introduced as unique photoswitches with wavelength-independent isomeric ratios in photostationary states. The wavelength-independent photoswitching, high bistability and significant overlap between the photoswitch absorption and the solar spectrum make bis(hemi-indigo) derivatives interesting candidates for MOST applications.
