Six new triorganotin(IV) complexes, (R3Sn)2[C7H14(COO)2]}n (R = Me: 1), (R3Sn)2[C7H14(COO)2] (R = Bu: 2; Ph: 3), (R3Sn)2[C11H9NO2(COO)2]}n·Y (R = Me, Y = CH2Cl2: 4, R = Bu, Y = 0: 5) and (R3Sn)2[C11H9NO2(COO)2] (R = Ph: 6) have been prepared by treatment of 2,4-diethylglutaric acid, phthalyl-glutamic acid and the corresponding R3SnCl (R = Me, Bu, Ph) with sodium ethoxide in methanol.
