  (EN) Principal solvents, especially mono-ol and diol principal solvents, having a ClogP of from about 0.15 to about 0.64, preferably from about 0.25 to about 0.62, and more preferably from about 0.40 to about 0.60, are disclosed that have the ability to make clear aqueous fabric softener compositions containing relatively high concentrations of fabric softener actives having ester linkages in their long, hydrophobic chains. The fabric softener actives are either unsaturated, or have intermediate length chains ($m(k)C12-14) and the said principal solvents are used at levels of less than about 40 %. Other solvents may be present. Some of the said principal solvents are novel compounds and/or novel mixtures. Premixes of the fabric softening actives, the principal solvents, and, optionally, other solvents are useful in the preparation of complete formulations by obviating/limiting the need for heating.(FR) L'invention a pour objet des solvants principaux, en particulier des solvants principaux mono-ol et diol, ayant un ClogP compris entre environ 0,15 et environ 0,64, de préférence entre environ 0,25 et environ 0,62, et plus avantageusement entre environ 0,40 et environ 0,60. Lesdits solvants permettent d'obtenir des compositions aqueuses et claires d'adoucisseurs de tissus contenant des concentrations relativement élevées d'agents actifs adoucissants de tissus dotés de liaisons d'ester dans leurs chaînes longues hydrophobes. Soit lesdits agents actifs sont insaturés, soit ils possèdent des chaînes de longueurs intermédiaires ($m(k)C12-14) et lesdits solvants principaux sont utilisés à des teneurs inférieures à environ 40 %. D'autres solvants peuvent être présents. Certains de ces solvants principaux peuvent être des composés nouveaux et/ou des mélanges nouveaux. Des prémélanges de ces agents actifs adoucisseurs de tissus, de ces principaux solvants et, éventuellement, d'autres solvants peuvent être utiles dans la préparation de formulations complètes car ils permettent d'éviter ou de limiter le chauffage.
