The synthesis of a series of diacetylenic compoundsrelated to the natural product falcarindiol has been carried out. Unsymmetrical diacetylenes were prepared by a modification of the Cadiot-Chodkiewicz coupling reaction, while a Glaser coupling was used to prepare symmetrical diacetylenes.
