Diastereoisomer separation: Through the use of a well-defined enantiopure π-allylic ruthenium(IV) precatalyst, facile access to enantioenriched indolin-3-one emitters was achieved. Facile separation of diastereoisomers demonstrated mirror image chiroptical responses.
