    Colorimetric UV sensors with tunable sensitivity from diacetylenes
    摘要:
    A series of diacetylene compounds containing D-alanine ethyl ester and di-beta-alanine ethyl ester groups were synthesized and dip-coated on paper for colorimetric UV sensing study. The white-to-blue-to-red colorimetric responses of the sensor strips were recorded by a photo scanner. The color images are analyzed based on the RGB color system to determine the color transition points and sensitivity. Coarse and fine tuning of the UV sensitivity was achieved by varying the head group and aliphatic chain length of the diacetylene lipids. Comparison of the UV sensitivity trends with the thermochromic sensitivity trends revealed that not only the photo-induced thermochromism but also photo-induced mechanical strain of the polydiacetylene backbone contributed to the color transition upon the UV irradiation.     (EN) This invention relates to a crystalline polyacetylene polymer which is visually imageable by laser emission in the 400-900 nm wavelength range and which is derived from a polyacetylene monomer having formula (I) wherein X is a polar hydrophilic moiety containing a radical of the group comprising amino, amido, hydroxy, ester, ether, phenol, carboxy, carbonate, halo, sulfonyl, sulfoxy, sulfonyl, silyl, siloxy, phosphoro, phosphate, keto, aldehyde, urea and urethane radicals or a metal salt; X1 is hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, alkaryl, aralkyl or is selected from the group defined for X and n has a value greater than 1. The invention also relates to the process of imaging said polyacetylene polymer by exposure to laser emissions and to the imaged product of the process.(FR) On décrit un polymère de polyacétylène cristallin pouvant servir à la formation d'images visuelles par émission laser dans la longueur d'onde de 400-900 nm. Ledit polymère est dérivé d'un monomère de polyacétylène de la formule (I) dans laquelle X représente une fraction hydrophile polaire contenant un radical du groupe comprenant les radicaux amino, amido, hydroxy, ester, éther, phénol, carboxy, carbonate, halo, sulfonyle, sulfoxy, sulfinyle, silyle, siloxy, phosphoro, phosphate, céto, aldéhyde, urée et uréthane ou un sel de métal; X1 représente hydrogène, alkyle, aryle, alcaryle, aralkyle ou est choisi dans le groupe défini pour X et n a une valeur supérieure à 1.
