The photochemical reaction of C(60) with selenium-containing bicyclooctanes affords for the first time the selenylfullerenes, which were characterized by mass, UV-vis absorption, and NMR spectroscopic and X-ray crystallographic analyses.
Transannular interaction between selenium and sulfur atoms in 5H,7H-dibenzo[b,g][1,5]selenathiocin: Formation of a new heteroatom dication [>Se+−+S<]
A new medium-sized heterocycles, 5H,7H-dibenzo[b,g][1,5]selenathiocin (1) has been prepared. The transannularinteractionbetweenselenium and sulfuratoms in 1 and the formation of dication were found in the reaction of 1, and its oxides with concd H2SO4.
