合成了锰 (II)、铁 (II)、钴 (II)、镍 (II)、铜 (II) 和锌 (II) 与由靛红腙与水杨醛缩合形成的双腙的配合物,并在元素分析、摩尔电导、磁化率数据、紫外可见、红外和核磁共振光谱研究的基础。光谱数据显示,该配体作为一元三齿配位体,通过靛红部分的偶氮甲碱氮、酚氧和羰基氧与金属离子配位。锰 (II)、铁 (II) 和钴 (II) 配合物的金属配体比例为 1:2,而镍 (II)、铜 (II) 和锌 (II) 配合物的金属配体化学计量比为 1:1。铜 (II) 配合物的 EPR 光谱数据显示金属-配体键具有相当大的共价特性。镍(II)配合物的XRD图谱表明金属配合物具有正交晶格。对配体和金属配合物的抗菌活性进行了筛选,发现配合物是比配体更有效的杀菌剂。

Synthesis of bis-Schiff bases of isatins and their antiglycation activity

Bis-Schiff bases 1-27 have been synthesized and their in vitro antiglycation potential has been evaluated. Compounds 21 (IC50 = 243.95 +/- 4.59 mu M), 20 (IC50 = 257.61 +/- 5.63 mu M), and 7 (IC50 = 291.14 +/- 2.53 mu M) showed an excellent antiglycation activity better than the standard (rutin, IC50 = 294.46 +/- 1.50 mu M). This study has identified a series of potential molecules as antiglycation agents. A structure-activity relationship has been studied, and all the compounds were characterized by spectroscopic techniques. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
Pharmacological characteristics of some 3-salicylidenehydrazono-2-indolinone coordination compounds

3-Salicylidenehydrazono-2-indolinone (SHI) complexes with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), and Pd(II) were synthesized. All compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial activity against seven pathogenic bacteria and four fungi. The compounds also have been screened for anti-inflammatory activity. The complexes have better antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory than ligand itself. The in vitro antiamoebic activity was evaluated against the HM1:IMSS strain of Entamoeba histolytica, and the results were compared with the standard drug, metronidazole. The preliminary test results showed that the complexes had better antiamoebic activity than their respective ligands. SHI and its complexes were found to possess potent antioxidant activity and be better than standard antioxidants, such as vitamin C and mannitol. In particular, the Cu(II) complex displayed excellent activity on the superoxide radical.
