  一种通过双（5-烷基-2-呋喃基）（2-硝基芳基）甲烷的还原循环合成2-（2-酰基乙烯基）-3-（5-烷基-2-呋喃基）吲哚的简单有效的方法是报告。该转化是通过在乙醇中用SnCl 2 ·2H 2 O加热底物来进行的。中间亚硝基芳烃部分与呋喃环通过亲电子氮攻击呋喃环的C（2）位置相互作用。结果表明，在相同反应条件下，相关的双（5-烷基-2-噻吩基）（2-硝基芳基）甲烷未能经历类似的环化反应，并转化为双（5-烷基-2-噻吩基）（2-氨基芳基）甲烷。
