The synthesis of a novel nitronylnitroxyl radical 2-(2,5-di(pyridin-4-yl)phenyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazol-3-oxide-1-oxyl (L) and the first Mn(II) complex with it [Mn(NO3)2(L)(H2O)× ×(i-PrOH)] is elaborated and performed.
