  yrazole derivatives of the general formula: wherein R1 represents an alkyl group of 7 to 17 carbon atoms, R2 represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or a phenyl group and R3 represents or -CH20H, wherein R4 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, R5 represents -CH2CH2OH or wherein R6 represents a hydroxyl group or a lower alkoxy group with a proviso that when R1 represents an alkyl group 7 to 11 carbon atoms and R2 represents a hydrogen atom, R3 does not represent , are novel compounds which have excellent antilipemic activity with a very low toxicity to humans, and accordingly are suitable for use as pharmaceutical agents in the treatment of lipemia.
