  The present invention provides novel seleno compounds containing nitrone moiety, a process for preparing the same, the use of the novel compounds as therapeutics for treating and/or preventing various medical dysfunctions and diseases arising from reactive oxygen species, in particular stroke, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease.
