  Hydrazino-acetanilide derivatives of the formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy or halogen, R.sub.2 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy or halogen, R.sub.3 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl or halogen, R.sub.4 is hydrogen or methyl, with the total number of C atoms of the substituents R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 in the phenyl ring not exceeding 6, R.sub.5 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, or it is phenyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by methyl, nitro and/or halogen, or it is the benzyl group, and R.sub.6 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl, possess valuable microbicidal properties, and contained in appropriate compositions these derivatives can be used in particular for combating phytopathogenic fungi.
