The present invention relates to a cycloaddition process comprising the step of reacting a halogenated aliphatic 1,3-dipole compound with a (hetero)cycloalkyne according to Formula (1): Preferably, the (hetero)cycloalkyne according to Formula (1) is a (hetero)cyclooctyne. The invention also relates to the cycloaddition products obtainable by the process according to the invention. The invention further relates to halogenated aliphatic 1,3- dipole compounds, in particular tohalogenated aliphatic 1,3-dipole compounds comprising N-acetylgalactosamine-UDP (GalNAc-UDP),and to halogenated 1,3- dipole compounds comprising (peracylated) N-acetylglucosamine(GlcNAc), N- acetylgalactosamine(GalNAc), N-acetylmannosamine(ManNAc)and N- acetylneuraminic acid(NeuNAc).

A pro-apoptotic solid dispersion comprises, a Bcl -2 family protein inhibitory compound of Formula A as defined herein, dispersed in a solid matrix that comprises (a) a pharmaceutically acceptable water-soluble polymeric carrier, and (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable surfactant. A process for preparing such a solid dispersion comprises subjecting to elevated temperature the compound of Formula A, the water-soluble polymeric carrier, and the surfactant to provide an extrudable semi-solid mixture; extruding the semi-solid mixture; and cooling the resulting extrudate to provide a solid matrix comprising the polymeric carrier, and the surfactant and having the compound dispersed in essentially non-crystalline form therein. The solid dispersion is suitable for oral administration to a subject in need thereof for treatment of a disease characterized by overexpression of one or more anti-apoptotic Bcl -2 family proteins, for example cancer or an immune or autoimmune disease.
one-pot protocol for constructing 1,4-difunctionalized quinoline/pyridine derivatives via the reaction of N-heteroaromatics, alkyl halides, and activemethylene/methyl compounds was developed. The transformation involves dearomative functionalization of an in situ-activated N-heteroaromatic to construct new C−N and C=C bonds. This reaction has a broad substrate scope and functional group tolerance.
Highly Stereoselective Synthesis of Fluoroalkene Dipeptides via the Novel Chromium(II)-Mediated Carbon–Fluorine Bond Cleavage/New Carbon–Carbon Bond Formation
the novel reductivecoupling, four types of fluoroalkene dipeptide analogues could be stereoselectively prepared. An efficient chromium(II)-mediated reductivecoupling reaction of various CBrF2-containing molecules and aldehydes has been developed. This reaction proceeds presumably via the monofluorinated dichromium(III) intermediate generated by the carbon–fluorine bond activation, and provides a
